The Grapevine – October 2023
Autumn is here and with it your October issue. We have good news of the church family with a wedding and a winner of the BBC Make a Difference Awards Scheme in the Volunteers Award category. It is good to read about the Ukrainian family hosted by one of our church families and to learn more about what they have left behind in Ukraine and how they have settled into life in the UK . We extol the joys of Harvest (our Harvest Festival service will be covered in the next issue) and admire the colour of our church garden, thanks to the loving care of one particular member of the congregation. We catch up, as always, with ArtPeace in Zimbabwe, their news this month boosted by the most beautiful photograph of two siblings, whose evident joy in being together, despite the almost impossibly difficult circumstances in which they are living, really pulls at the heartstrings. We have a lot to learn from them.
