THE GRAPEVINE – FEBRUARY 2023
In this the first issue of 2023, we learn from the minister’s pastoral letter background to Matthew and his Gospel. There is an excellent article about the importance of training for doctors in Africa written by Dr Rick Gardner, an orthopaedic surgeon at CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe. There are colourful accounts of our Christmas services illustrated with evocative photographs and some light-hearted holiday memories of a week-long Mediterranean cruise. There is a touching piece about a much longed-for puppy, Benji, a dog that has brought great joy to a little boy who has cystic fibrosis. As well as our regular features of Messy Church and ArtPeace in Zimbabwe, and news of some members of our congregation, we note that this month we were delighted to welcome to church two visitors from overseas, from Australia and Indonesia. We hope you will enjoy a good read!
