THE GRAPEVINE February 2022
We are delighted to introduce you to the first issue of ‘The Grapevine’, a new combined monthly newsletter that covers news and information from our two now united churches – Weybridge URC and St Andrew’s, Walton-on-Thames. This first one is something of a bumper issue with reflective and illuminating accounts of all the Christmas services at both churches (in the case of Weybridge, for the last time) for Weybridge the last time on that site) and one or two new topics that always featured in the Weybridge Magazine (such at Top Tips and all that Chat and Prayer Corner). Other topics covered include heart-warming articles about ArtPeace in Zimbabwe accompanied by happy photographs of children receiving their Christmas presents, thanks to our Christmas donation, and a fascinating item about micro-finance in that country where the daughter and husband of members of our congregation are doing excellent work in the fields of orthopaedics and finance. We also say a fond – albeit sad – farewell to 9th Walton Brownies, through a very enjoyable article written by a long-standing member of St Andrew’s and former Brown Owl for many years.
