4th Weybridge Scouts

Beavers : Friday evening

Beaver Scouts are young people aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the Scouting family. They can move up to the next section, Cub Scouts from eight years old.

Beavers are easily recognised by their turquoise sweatshirts and they get up to all sorts of things, including day visits, sleepovers, arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors and much more! They meet once a week usually on Friday evenings.

The Beaver Scout colony is very popular so don’t delay in filling in our joining form as there is usually a waiting list.

Cubs : Thursday evenings

Cubs is the second section in the scouting family, after Beavers and before Scouts. A cub is typically aged between eight and ten & a half years old. They move on to Scouts once they reach ten and a half years old.

There are lots of fun things you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try different activities like music, exploring, collecting, computing, DIY, camping and many more. Badges can be gained by completing various activities both in normal cub meetings and elsewhere. Cubs usually meet on Thursdays.

Scouts : Thursday evenings

Scouts is the third section in the scouting family, and is typically seen as the original
section. Scouts are usually between 10.5-14 years old. 4th Weybridge Scouts usually meet on Thursdays.

As an active Scout troop, we get up to all sorts of exciting and adventurous activities, both in our regular meetings and on camps and visits.

Once they reach age 14 they can then move on to one of the Explorer Scouts within the District, please ask your leader for more information.
