THE GRAPEVINE – JULY/AUGUST 2025

THE GRAPEVINE – JULY:AUGUST 2025

Summer is here with its long days and the sort of heat to which we are having to become accustomed.   In this issue, we are proud to announce that we have a Bronze certificate in our Eco journey.  We announce a Flower Festival in the church on 9 and 10 August and hope that it will be a success to match –  or even exceed –  that of last year.  We invite people to interpret a book title in flowers.  An exciting new chapter opens in ArtPeace with news of some of our artists registered for a three-day course in October with Foundations for Farming, a Christian-based registered non-profit organisation, to encourage them to become more self-reliant through sustainable farming, as future funding is not a given.  We report on a great result in our fund-raising for Christian Aid Week – £1,037.50 in total.  There are improvements to the church afoot and we look forward to our very own Songs of Praise on 10 August, when we will be putting forward our favourite hymns for a really good Sing. We hope you will enjoy our summer issue.
