A Voice from India

A Voice from India

Dear Friends,

I hope you’ve found our journey through Romans fruitful.  I should have sent this out last night as you’ll have seen we’ve started a different series this morning.  Over the next week we are privileged to have a series of reflections written by Dr Bendangelmia Longkumer who currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at the Pacific Theological College in Fiji.

Dr Longkumer is a member of the Baptist Church of Nagaland, Northeast India and wrote Christ, the Healer: Exploring Indigenous Spirituality. New Delhi: CWI, 2018 and edited Marriage: Traditions, Changes and Challenges Ahead (New Delhi: ISPCK, 2018).  Her research includes a concern to contextualise Christian mission in North East India and has an interest in human sexuality and gender.  It is a joy to welcome Dr Longkumer as a guest writer this week and I hope you enjoy the selection of readings she has chosen and her reflections on them.

With every good wish

Andy
