Weekly Intercessions and Worship Notes

Dear Friends,

Each week we prepare Worship Notes to help those who have to lead worship – lay preachers, elders and ministers.  In particular they are useful for those who, at the last minute, realise they have to lead worship!  The Notes give a wide variety of prayers for each part of the service, notes on the readings the preacher has used in that week’s Daily Devotion service and, at least once a month, an order for Holy Communion.  Hundreds of people download these each week and we make them freely available to help folk prepare worship.  This week’s notes have been prepared by the Rev’d Cara Heafy and can be downloaded here.

We know that many people plan ahead and so we load up the Worship Notes at least a month in advance.  February’s have been up for some time and now you can find March’s notes there too.  We hope in the next week or so to load up April’s too.  

As the Worship Notes are prepared some time ahead the intercessions can’t be topical with what’s going on in the world.  We, therefore, also offer Weekly Intercessions written at the start of each week which can be used in church, in small groups and for personal use.  This week’s Intercessions have been written by the Rev’d Camilla Veitch and can be downloaded here.
