THE GRAPEVINE – FEBRUARY 2025

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  In this the first issue of 2025, we have colourful accounts of our lovely Christmas services to look back upon.  We focus on Eco matters with the first of a series of Eco articles designed to encourage us to do our best to save the planet.  We are sad to have lost two friends but grateful for the joy they have brought and shared.  We have exciting news of what we like, as a church to consider our very own music trio, Stratus, a snatch of whose adaptation of Somewhere only We Know featured in the iconic marriage scene between Sonia and Smithy in the BBC’s Christmas Special of Gavin & Stacey.  We can’t wait to chart their future progress!  Our Wessex Synod Moderator, the Revd Michael Hopkins, shares his New Year Message with us.  Our friends in ArtPeace continue to struggle with so many difficulties but with an admirable  stoicism that sees them through – the rains have come and  they are hoping for a bumper harvest in April/May.  Please read and enjoy.THE GRAPEVINE – FEBRUARY 2025
